I figure once a week- maybe more or maybe less, i will post unusual news stories here. Talk about them- share your own weird stories. It is good to laugh...
Texas "Justice": As far as the state of Texas is concerned, Andre Thomas, 25, was and is sane and was and is competent to assist his lawyers. Thomas was convicted of murdering his wife and two kids in 2004 after a judge ruled him competent despite the fact that after the killings, Thomas had carved out the victims' hearts, put them in his pocket, and later tossed them in the garbage. In addition, before trial, Thomas had plucked out his right eye and eaten it. In October 2008, Texas' highest criminal court upheld the conviction and sentence, endorsing the trial judge's view of Thomas' sanity. In January 2009, on death row in Livingston, Texas, Thomas plucked out his left eye and ate it. [Houston Chronicle-AP, 1-9-09]

fuck!!!?? this is nuts, do you recall when that lady killed her 3 kids and was found insane, post partum depression or whatever....but this guy is found sane huh? wow, thanks Trish i think this is a great idea, ill be keeping a eye out for stuff to add!...............lol im sure gool ol fox news will be a regular fucking goldmine of content!!! bahahaahahahaa

WOW! Ya' know- when I was 11 I KNEW what killing meant! How can he NOT know what he did was wrong? AND he'd been picking on the daughter for awhile. Wow! And look at that kid's eyes! There is SOMETHING missing...something I can't put my finger on. The same look..or absence of a look...is in Ramirez's eyes! Ed Gein, Jefferey Dahmer, and mnost serial killers just have something missing in their eyes. It's weird! Thank you for posting this!

Found this, just today. It's "kinda" fucked up... "CAIRO * A 75 year old widow in Saudi Arabia has been sentenced to 40 lashes and four months in jail for mingling with two young men who are not close relatives, drawing new criticism for the Islamic kingdom's religious police and judiciary. The newspaper Al-Watan says the woman met with two 24 year old men last April after she asked them to bring her five loaves of bread at her home. Al-Watan identified one man as the nephew of her late husband, and the other as his friend and business partner. It said they were arrested by the religious police after delivering the bread. The men also were convicted and sentenced to lashes and prison. The court said "she doesn't have a husband," and Saudi Arabia's strict interpretation of Islam prohibits men and women who are not immediate relatives from mingling." Yep.
