Here's a fun inexpensive game to try...
It's called Crashtastic, you build things, cars, flying machines, etc, and try to do what the level says to do, some of the levels are easy and some are very hard but all in all it's a lot of fun for ten bucks.

You get the full game after it comes out of Alpha, if you wait the full game will cost more, it's cheaper to get it while it's in alpha.

I am going to get this when it is officially released, not in the habit of buying games intentionally that are still in alpha, but it looks fun as hell.

To a degree yeah, it's kinda like GMod, but it's not an engine for making games the way Gmod is. You just build cars and flying things with rockets strapped on them and try to accomplish the goals, or just mess about in the sandbox and build weird shit.
