See, you ask me, I provide, I ask you, I get nuttin', life ain't fair.
Tada, Voltron the movie. 1984
This one too.
Well FML, If you say they made Voltron Movie not in Merica I am gonna snap
Star Blazers IS Battleship Yamato dude!
I read what you wrote properly, I was just being ignorant, because I don't know anything about Anything other than the Star Blazers you mention, so I brought up some irrelevant comments about watching it growing up and how there has not been a movie about Star Blazers or Voltron.
Haven't seen Pan'z Labyrinth, and for Battleship Yamato, That's Japanese stuff thus J's area :)
You didn't read what I wrote properly, they DID make a movie, that's what I'm looking for Space Battleship Yamato, 2013, dubbed. Most people can only get the subtitled version but my friend from ECW (Michael Manna, aka Stevie Richards) posted about it on Facebook. I've sent him an email begging him to let me know where I can get the dubbed version but if I can't get anywhere that way I can get the subtitled version on Amazon I guess, but I hate reading movies. I want to see the action, not watch text on the screen. Though I must admit that one of my favorite movies of all time is subtitled, Pan's Labyrinth, if you haven't seen it, do so, you'll be in for a heck of a treat.
Yeah Used to come on CTV in Canada between that and CBC It was Voltron or Star Blazers, Friend of mine, I believe does have a box set of Star Blazers, amazing they haven't made a movie about either yet.
Promos were a little different, Degrassi High was like kind of like a After School Special HAHA!
I used to watch those things when I was in HS, some of them were okay but some of them were god awful piles of reeking feces. But if they came on opposite Star Blazers I wasn't gonna miss that. Or Ultraman and Johnny Socko or Space Giants. Man, kids today with their Anime just don't know what good Japanese television is about, I miss that shit. I heard they made a live action Battleship Yamoto and there's a dubbed version out there and I am FUCKING DYING to find it. Anyone know where I can see it? I'll be very grateful if you can hook me up.
Not sure anything man made could make it through that force field though.
Still not completely sure how or why an individual would make up something like that.
Yeah it's funny if you ever watch PSA's from the 50's to NOW, It is really funny how they have changed. I think the 80's they got a little better, right idea, bad execution, I think it probably helped evole PC bullshit.
But yeah some of the language then was BRUTAL!
The same guy who made the gut wrenching sequel, "My Dad Lives in a Refrigerator Box on 52nd Street", what a sad story, even if it had Cory Haim and Cory Feldman in it as gay teens seeking acceptance in a cruel New York City Borough. I liked them better as vampire hunters, just sayin', but still.
