i think its crap law have to have homeowners insurance.
they dont cover hardly anything.
get flood insurance oh look thousands of claims poor in at ounce and your out of luck what crap.
if a law says you have to have any type of insurance it should pay out no matter what.
spend thousands of dollars a year to be covered and look my friend cant get a penny to save his life.
some laws need to be changed or dropped and let people take they risk.
for most covered they are still out of luck what crap.
my friend paul lost everything out there.
even worse he just bought a house a few months ago and his insurance company said floods are not covered
if a river over flows or rises.
well what good is the dam insurance for then?
@magic: About the fire i was talkin about, it wasn't last yr but the yr b4. As many as 400 individual fires were recorded burning across 1 state covering about, 450,000 hectares or 1.1 million acres. Killing 173 people & injuring around 500. It was in February 2009 & the weather was up around 110 to 120 degrees Fahrenheit with winds in excess of 62mph. The main damage happened on Saturday 7th Feb, now known as 'Black Saturday'. The fires started on 28th Jan & went on till mid March. It destroyed over 2,030 houses, nearly 4,000 structures all together & damaged many more. Making 7,562 people homeless.

ALSO, that's when this happened, u may have seen this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-XSPx7S4jr4@ bytes: yea, just mass rain & flash flooding, no hurricane or anything.
@ magic: No it doesn't affect me or any1 i know luckily. It's in the northen part of Australia, i'm right dwn south.
That fire is nothing rly compared 2 what we're used 2, we get a lot of bushfires, last year part of Australia was on fire as big as the part that is flooding right now, like say, bigger than Texas, ALL on fire!
Just last night we had a telethon 2 raise $$$ for the people affected & raised over 11 million. That was just 1 charity event. We as a nation r very good @ helping each other out when in a crisis.
