Does anyone on the site have any swords they either don't want or would be willing to sell reasonably? My collection is fairly large but I'm always looking to add to it. Live steel would be sweet but I don't have the scratch for spring steel at the moment, mostly I'm looking for fantasy collectable display pieces, with a display mount if possible. I have MOST of the Lord of the Rings movie series swords, but there are a few I'm still missing, I also collect Kit Rae, Gil Hibbon, most of the United Cutlery line and Franklin Mint series. Daggers too if you got 'em. So if you have any blades laying around you don't want or need, let me know, show me pics if you can please, or at least tell me the name of the blade so I can google search it. I'm out of display room but I'm never going to be done collecting. If you don't have any, ask your friends and relatives, maybe they have something. I've found quite a few just by asking around.
This is a serious inquiry so please keep the replies serious.
I'm also in the market for a Microsoft Surface tablet if anyone has one for sale.
I'm also willing to trade for shit you might want or need.
Toodles,
Argie

Sorry, I was trying to be helpful :) what is your heritage and background, Maybe do one of those DNA test find out somethings, that has never been my thing, but, I think if you wanted maybe it's possible to not only get maybe a sword at auction or an estate sale but maybe something that is kind of one of a kind :)
Hahahaha, no dude, I'm looking for anyone who might have a collectable sword they want to let go of for a cheap price. I'm not looking to spend real money here. I'm talking below $50. I doubt an auction is the place to go for that.
I know a couple Auction brokers, if you want me to get a bid in for ya :)
Hehehe... I've always had a love of weaponry, mostly swords and daggers but I collect contemporary weapons too (i.e. guns).
I'm talking about display swords, collectors items, not live steel, I have a few live steel swords (real swords used for combat) but I don't display them on my walls, they aren't all cool looking, they're fairly simple to look at. I collect fantasy swords, LOTR for instance, Kit Rae, Gil Hibband, Franklin Mint etc... Stuff you hang on the wall. All tolled I have maybe 100 swords on my walls around my house.
Considering that there are only a hand full of actual swordsmiths alive capable making the real thing, none of them I believe in the U.S You have to pay to have one made, and shipped, unless you buy someone elses, but between permits, and cost including taxes, labor, and so fourth, My understanding is that a Real Sword start anywhere from 5.000 to 150.000 depending on the kind you want, if you want one that was actually used say in WAR they can go up higher.
There are some replica's and practice swords, I think run like 150 to 750$, but Personally me, yeah never had that kind of scratch or interest. I mean enough to find out, but never enough to put down a deposit, and place an order with an actual legit Agent.
Considering I never cosplayed in my life and I get laid whenever I want to, I'd have to say, you couldn't be more wrong. But I'm sure that's common for you.
