Hugo Chavez is a socialist, not a communist. He won through fair democratic elections.
What you call "conservative' in the USA we call most of the time fascist here in Europe.
There is no "left"wing party in the USA. If there would be any left party it would be called communist party.
I had a conversation with a man from Argentina many years back and I asked him: " Why do so many want's socialism or communism in South America?" Do you want a socialism like the Soviet Union?"
He said;" No we want a socialism like in Denmark or Sweden.

The health system in most European countries is founded by the tax payers and it is cheaper and more efficient then the private ripoff system forced open the American people by Bush.
