I was there when it was filmed, but this video wasn't looked at until the next day. No one had any idea that it happened.

@Argent: This one is interesting. Note the dog; he is always agitated about something in that corner of the backyard. I checked the area myself after I saw the footage. (Its not my backyard). Granted, it was the next day, but I thought for sure it would have to be light from somewhere bouncing off a spider web or piece of plastic caught in the tree. There were no neighbors present at the time. My first thought was car headlights, but there's no street back there, only a wash with a 25 foot drop. Note also the light-thing can be seen played over the fence. 

I also noted it looked a lot like the light alien from the Trek TOS ep: "Day Of The Dove."  ;)
