This is a video response to my very good friend Jakluk4. She posted a youtube video on the topic of is rape justified. Talking about how we as a society excuse violence when convenient.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=npfDa46-LP4

Rape is not justified, however a woman whom refuses to dress & behave modestly bears part of the responsibility. To be clear it is the responsibility of the parents to provide for their children they create. It IS NOT the responsibility of the state NOR any other organization. To expect otherwise demonstrates the greed and theft that is epidemic in society. To those that decide to leave hateful comments, do not expect a response. Bloomberg.com reported that JP Morgan is making huge profits off of the federal food stamp program. If you are on federal assistance willing or unwilling you are feeding the beast.

To be clear I DO NOT view you (if that applies) nor any other woman for that matter as a sex object. You would not be open to the bigger underlying issue and what I personally believe. I am discussing society. I am sorry you are taking offense at the issue.

If you choose to be proud and stubborn that is your choice and there is nothing I can do about it. If you choose that route, all I can do is make you angry because I am not going to tell you what you want to hear. I am just shining some light on one of the many reasons of the causes of rape. The truth really hurts. That is a fact of life. If I am a scumbag, then what is Tiger Woods? (the answer golfer does not count.) How many women did he share the sack with?

Or perhaps you consider me a scumbag because I believe both sexes should take personal responsibility an dress with some decency, and you find that fact alone disgusting. If you were/are female, I am sure there would be men that would enjoy you walking around topless. I have never been in one, but why are topless bars so popular? When I went to high school many years ago there was a dress code. If you did not follow that code you got sent home regardless of what sex you were. Walking in foolishness has consequences. Again, I will repeat for the umpteenth time. This does not justify rape or any form of violence. However, ignoring the unpopular perspectives of the problem will not significantly reduce the number of cases of a horrific crime. As for the skewing of stats, of course what stats are precisely accurate? Do you honestly believe there is only 0.3 rape cases per 1,000 in America. I don't.

Might I remind you that pride and stubbornness are a pathway into the pit. Please be careful not to go there.

Whether you believe me or not I honestly do wish you the best.

Might I also make note that your profile states that you are male. Am I too naive to expect honesty as well? Especially when sex can be hidden.

@Callingforfreedom:

You are a genuine scumbag. I have never used this word before but in your case it seems so appropriate.
Whatever sly hints you are trying to make questioning my intelligence, your words tell more about you than me.
I can easily imagine it is you who salivates, you seem to know this subject too well.

I am a person, and in no way a sexual object. Whatever sex I am.
Don't you patronize me, thank you, I don't need it.

Let me quote you roosboosje, and that is the end of my futile discussion with you:

rozeboosje :
"So how are we to treat the victims differently then from those that you, kindly, in your infinite wisdom, decide are utterly blameless? Please elaborate.

I also dare say that perhaps you might consider telling women that they should wear burqahs. If they did that they would not tempt any scumbag with their natural assets and they could remain happily blameless when occasionally they are still getting raped. Your approval must be important to them."

BTW, has it ever occurred to you that statistics can be manipulated and maybe women in Muslim countries simply don't report these crimes for different reasons?
Of course not. It would weaken your argument.

You are a foolish fool, Sir.

I am leaving you now in your present distorted reality.
I hope you will be able to solve your issues one day.

Also I think you may be misinterpreting what I mean. I have stated repeatedly that I do not support forcing women to wear a burqa. I do not know how to make that any more clear. The statistics given were to prove a point when women dress with discretion like in 1960 the rate of rape is reduced.

I have a humble question. Do you enjoy being a sex object? That is what media is programing men to believe. This also ties into the skyrocketing divorce rate as well. If a male looks at the female only as a sex object, he cannot meet your needs of true love and affection. I honestly do wish you well.

@hagakure90
My apologies. I did not recognize you were a female.

Yes, I do acknowledge that was a baseless assumption. And I ask for your forgiveness. I am sick of the men living their sexual fantasy vicariously through salivating over the the transformation of women into a sex object.

The transformation of women to a sex object is one of the reasons why the explosion in the rate of rape.

Look at the numbers again and compare the rate between the usa in 2000 to 1960.

@Callingforfreedom, you wrote:

"I think I offend you because you love the sexual stimulation from watching the scantily clad bimbos on the TV news. Personal opinion this nation would be a lot better off if it were kept to the porn magazines and the ppv channels. If that offends you, that indicates you may have an addiction problem. Addicted to sex based content."

This is no reasoning. This is called an insult based on your biased and baseless assumptions.

What would your response be if I told you I was a woman?
Oh, yes, that I should wear a burqa. I see.

You have some serious problems, that much is obvious to all of us. You do need professional help, man......

@hagakure90
I am sorry. You have the right to your personal opinion. That does not change the situation.

As I stated before I do not believe in making the Burqa mandatory, but examine something. Compare the number of US rapes to a number of nations that the burqa is common - Starting with the stark comparison between the US and Saudi Arabia where it is required. I do not advocate a Muslim type system here, but I am using it as an illustration. One thing is clear the Muslims even without the burqa are much more discreet. Their women on TV are also a lot more discreet as well.

Cases of rape per 1,000 people. (1998-2000)
United States 0.30132
Saudi Arabia 0.0033
Yemen 0.0039
Indonesia 0.0057
Qatar 0.0139
Turkey 0.0181
http://www.nationmaster.com/graph/cri_rap_percap-crime-rapes-per-ca...

FBI estimated the number of rapes in 1960 at 20,000 nation wide
http://www.self-defender.net/extras/sexual.htm
that would translate into the rate of 0.00011

Look at the way people dressed in 1960. With a lot more discretion.

I think I offend you because you love the sexual stimulation from watching the scantily clad bimbos on the TV news. Personal opinion this nation would be a lot better off if it were kept to the porn magazines and the ppv channels. If that offends you, that indicates you may have an addiction problem. Addicted to sex based content.

@ all of you
There is no silver bullet solution to this problem. This is one facet, that has become taboo, of a complex problem we have in society. As for the person whom brought up the nudist colony I question your comprehension. Dressing with responsibility and discretion are opposite of the principles of a nudist colony. As for the elderly - a portion of people are very sick. The elderly category is very small compared to the bulk of crimes committed.

@Callingforfreedom:
It is very lucky that you are not a lawyer because you would make a really bad one.
Your whole reasoning is BS.

A crime is a crime, OK?
NOTHING OR NOBODY CAN JUSTIFY COMMITTING A CRIME.
The person who commits a crime is a called a criminal.

It's you who needs to contact someone more knowledgeable it seems, I recommend a law professional eg.

You are excellent in trying to put the blame on the victim ("negligence" is a crime, rape is not????) AND you have avoided responding to all my relevant points.
That makes me wonder.

Why are you trying to defend criminals with a towel on your head????????
Comment by Lovie2000 on March 8, 2010 at 1:35am
So if someone is at a nudist colony, it's justified if someone that attends these things decides he wants to rape her.....please......the way you dress, is not a reason for the actions of a rapist......the rapist is sick in the mind and would rape if the woman was draped from head to toe in a potato sack.

So what type of clothing are senior citizens wearing when they get raped......because yes these sicko's rape old women too.....get outta here with that nonsense.
