What to do:
file a report with the FTC, the FBI and call your state attorney generals office for contact info.
Set up an account with the mail address you want to remove from the system and apply to have it blocked. Another option is with the IMS but they defer to the CMA choice .org.
get active locally and spread the info at home and online.
An informed public is a powerful public.

Glad to see this post, because the problem is much worse than people realize. My dad is in his 80s now and susceptible to these turds' come-ons. Doubly bad is that older people are often of their generation's loftier value system, where they don't believe anyone could be that dishonest. There is a special place in hell for scammers such as they.
