On second thought Poe, I doesn't seem to be a mall.  Maybe a school or something.  It was late when I found this video and even later when I uploaded it.  Still it had no context to it, so assumptions are up in the air.

I'm finding this very hard to believe. Do we know exactly what mall this was? I'd like to verify that they didn't have an elevator. Did this person use the escalator to get up to the second floor in the first place?

wow..how sad they are trying to live life as normal as possible but have more obstacles than one can imagine

It's a very, VERY tragic incident.  Unfortunately, this chap, I'm sure, takes it in strides.  He probably got up, organized himself, regained his composure and went on about his business.  No threat of a lawsuit, no notification to the ADA and not enough esteem to bother mentioning this to anyone who wasn't there.  Sad, but these types of accidents happen so often that it's not even funny.  For the most part, the only times, that I notice, that the ADA take action is if they (disabled or wheelchairs/"wheelies") are really trying to make a point to someone they may have been discriminated against.
