2012 APOCALYPSE OMFG

Greetings friends. I'm sure everyone on this site is well up to date with the myriad of batshit insane theories for whats to come later this year, so I'd like to discuss some of right now because if theres one thing the internet is lacking, its discussion about 2012apocalypseclusterfuckwhathaveyou. Lets start off by addressing that apocalypse actually means uncovering or revealing, and the fact that its the most commonly attributed phrase to this date (instead of extinction or decimation, or whatever) is kind of comforting for me. Its pretty safe to say a good portion of the world is in civil unrest or at least are conscious of the idea that we all need to change if we're going to survive as a species, whether thats their direct reason for protest or not. Political protests might as well just petition for giant fans for the crowd to piss in, while the more social oriented ones seem to actually be addressing the issues that will directly bring about a better civilization for human beings. If you don't agree with that last sentence, you should stop reading now, and frankly I'm not sure why you started reading in the first place. So I'm watching this all unfold and I realize that this all looks an awful lot like some sort of ramping up to something massive, like global scale change. What that change is exactly I have no fucking idea. I don't think anyone has a clear cut picture of where we'll be this time next year. Its been speculated that the date 12/21/12 will be a stopping point for time itself, will be the return of jesus christ to save his true believers from the horrors of this world, that the entire universe will just kind of start going the other way (the beginning of true universal entropy?), and any number of wild tinfoil hat shit that would make any softheaded rube willingly give their life savings to some kook with a believable wardrobe and media vehicle. Now the problem here is that most people hear about all this and gather mainly one of two things. This must be what my religion was talking about, time to put my head between my knees, or this is the craziest shit I've ever heard in my life, I will continue on business as usual and nothing will change. I put it to you that both of these outlooks are somewhat misguided. I'm not saying that theres no chance of any heretofore unknown metaphysical circumstances will transpire and everything gets magically thrown to shit, I'm just saying in the realm of physical reality it seems unlikely. I'm not saying an asteroid will never hit the earth (actually thats almost bound to happen)but it could happen on any arbitrarily chosen day. I'm also not saying thatnothingwill change and everything will be just as it always has been. Back to the meaning of apocalypse as a great revealing, I think that this year is going to be a big one for the electric meatbags of Earth.

I had been kicking around the idea of what could possibly happen this year that was within the bounds of the reasonably plausible and I just started thinking about the actual human thought process. Its already bound by centuries of religion, customary code, tradition and general mob mentality. So I began to think about it, and I thought what if this whole thing about 2012 getting people in a stir just actually stirred their minds enough to start thinking. And then as if it were a purely serendipitous bar dart into my forehead, I saw this article on natural news. This one right the fuck here. This is the idea behind the term awakening. An activation in the conscious thought of every human being on the planet. Enough people getting the gears whirring fast after however long they were dormant. As many at once so as to contiguously drop the blinders and not only bypass the desire to get people on your side, but understanding that there are really no sides. Occult practices made public because the general public is ready to face and deal with them. Deeper understanding to wasteful systems and the delicacy and finite qualities of our resources. An end to tyranny in all forms across the globe, not figuratively or half assedly, but legitimately.

TL;DR - I think this is the year we wake up. We won't have a place for the kids to grow up if its not.
