Of course, it's like talking to a wall when addressing the particularly gutless members of DramaTube that criticize my politics, without knowing what the fuck they're talking about. I knew what kind of responses I would get when I started this thing awhile back, but that still hasn't slowed me down or stop me. The truly ignorant are quick to write off my views as being "gay" or "anti-woman."
My personal interest in men's rights comes from my own personal experience watching what fathers go through during divorce and custody battles. It was during a conversation with a girl who had a very negative view of men that got me thinking very seriously about what's going on. We all know what "misogyny" is, but how come nobody ever talks about hatred against males, which is pretty much in front of our noses.
"I feel that "man-hating" is an honorable and viable political act, that the oppressed have a right to class-hatred against the class that is oppressing them." - Robin Morgan former editor of Ms. Magazine
"Being an incomplete female, the male spends his life attempting to complete himself, to become female. He attempts to do this by constantly seeking out, fraternizing with and trying to live through an fuse with the female, and by claiming as his own all female characteristics -- emotional strength and independence, forcefulness, dynamism, decisiveness, coolness, objectivity, assertiveness, courage, integrity, vitality, intensity, depth of character, grooviness, etc -- and projecting onto women all male traits -- vanity, frivolity, triviality, weakness, etc. It should be said, though, that the male has one glaring area of superiority over the female -- public relations. (He has done a brilliant job of convincing millions of women that men are women and women are men). The male claim that females find fulfillment through motherhood and sexuality reflects what males think they'd find fulfilling if they were female." Valerie Solanas - The SCUM Manifesto
Equality between the sexes has been achieved for quite some time. Women can work in any field they choose, they can play sports, they can enter politics, they can be firewomen or policewomen. Nobody is complaining about that. Women can and should do whatever makes them feel happy. My beef with feminism is what it has become. It's become nothing more than cult of whining and victimology. Men are seen as the "enemies" and women as the constant victims. Men and women are both equally responsible for domestic violence and the statistics are split right down the middle, but feminists like to peddle dubious statistics that claim that men are responsible for 99% of domestic violence. That's bullshit.
I was once invited to a Feminist Facebook group and I posed a question about domestic violence shelters for men, since women have "women's shelters." I was honestly expecting a backlash and the usual "only men are responsible for domestic violence" garbage, but I was surprised that the women there reacted favorably to that idea. I only got a negative response from one person in that group, that I would truly describe as a "Femi-Nazi."
I don't think all feminists are bad. I appreciate the work being done by feminist Christina Hoff Summers whom is actually working to shed some light on the movements attack on males in general and has written a thought-provoking book called "The War Against Boys."
And speaking of double-standards when it comes to male and female violence, remember the Lorena Bobbit case? She cut off her husband's penis and she didn't serve one day in jail. That's an assault of the worst kind, attempted murder. But because he was supposedly abusing her, it's considered self-defense. Can you imagine a man taking a knife to a woman's genitallia and then claiming self-defense? If John Wayne Bobbit was indeed abusing her, she should have phoned the cops, she should've left him. Instead, she waited till the man was vulnerable and exacted petty revenge. That shit is not right. Same with Mary Winkler whom shot her husband in the back while he was sleeping. She claimed that he was putting her through psychological abuse by making her wear stilletos during sex. That's cold-blooded murder.
Very few people have the balls to bring up these issues for fear of being labeled a "woman-hater," or a "misogynist." There's plenty of people that talk about these issues on YouTube, who do it far differently than my "in-your-face" style and do it in a more reserved, polite, and thoughtful approach. These men and women are clearly not "woman-haters" but they are routinely called such by the hypocrites that try shaming-language to put a muzzle on them.
Well, anyway this blog is long enough. It's kind of long-winded and rambling and all over the place, but I just wanted to hammer in the point that it's about real issues and not about woman-hating. Call me a gay woman-beater till you're blue in the face. It doesn't change shit.
