So it would seem that everyone, and I mean everyone Republican, jumped on the tea party bandwagon. Especially FAUX News. This was supposed to be a grassroots movement. By having the repub's join in on the action, they made it seem like it was completely orchestrated by the republican party and thus made it a great tool for the Democratic party to attack and discredit it. This not only made Republicans look bad, as if that was not the goal, but it also took what should have been a tax revolt on the grassroots level and made it look like a party ploy to belittle the other party. The grassroots need to do something to get away from Republican sponsorship because as we already know, the two party system is just two sides of the same coin. And all that system wants is to make any form of dissent look like a bunch of loose cannons and anti government extremists are the ones behind it all. So while there were many tea parties, I still feel in a philosophical sense that it was in all a huge failure and a kick in the gut to the grassroots by the Republican Party.
