A tax on everything that makes carbon dioxide is coming....

Get ready to pay a tax on breathing. Barack Obama has stated through one of his energy advisors that he will allow the EPA to regulate carbon dioxide as a dangerous pollutant. Last year the Supreme Court of the United States ruled 5 to 4 that under the clean air act the EPA may regulate carbon dioxide as a dangerous pollutant. The Bush administration was not in a hurry to do this. They got this one right. Carbon dioxide is not pollution no matter how many times Al Gore says it is. Carbon dioxide is plant food. It makes trees, grass and food grow. Global warmers say it makes the global temperature rise. Apparently they don't like to look at the real world data. If they did they would see that the relationship between global temperature change and carbon dioxide is very weak. Some eighty percent of all the carbon dioxide produced by human activity has been introduced into the atmosphere since 1940. Yet in the 7 decades since then the global temperature has only gone up in two of those decades. That's correct in the last 7 decades the temperature has gone up in only two, the 1980s and 1990s . For those of you who have been listening to Al Gore you might be interested to know that global temperature rise stopped in 1998 and has fallen in the last 7 years.


Now that Barack Obama is president he will allow the EPA to regulate carbon dioxide. This means everything that makes carbon dioxide will require a permit from the EPA to do so. That means every plane, train, car, lawn mower, webber grill, boat, space shuttle, 4th of july firecracker and yes even your dog and cat will need a permit to produce carbon dioxide. In theory even you and I will be required to get a permit to breath. At birth you will need to pay the EPA for the right to breath. I know this sounds a bit wacky but Obama has promised to do this.


The EPA will need to hire thousands of new employees to write up all these permits. We will possibly have to hire and train a new police force, the "carbon police" to make sure you're not emitting too much "deadly" carbon dioxide into the air. It's hard to know where this might all go but it will be a giant revenue maker for the government all to save the planet from an effect that does not exist.
