RIP Harvey Pekar


Harvey died on tuesday, he was a staple in independent comic book publishing. He wrote stories about people dealing with day to day life, without super powers or super tech weapons or tight spandex onesies. Just real shit "from off the streets of Cleveland". Definitely one of the more notable characters/creators in the annals of comicdom. He will be missed.

I haven't read his comics yet, but I loved his appearances on Letterman. There was a great interview with him on NPR's Fresh Air.
