The End of America. 10 Steps To Fascism. Documentary film adapted from Naomi Wolfs book - 1/8

In The End of America: A Letter of Warning to a Young Patriot, Wolf takes a historical look at the rise of Fascism, outlining the 10 steps necessary for a Fascistic group (or government) to destroy the democratic character of a nation-state and subvert the social/political liberty previously exercised by its citizens:

1) Invoke a terrifying internal and external enemy.
2) Create secret prisons where torture takes place.
3) Develop a thug caste or paramilitary force not answerable to citizens.
4) Set up an internal surveillance system.
5) Harass citizens' groups.
6) Engage in arbitrary detention and release.
7) Target key individuals.
8) Control the press.
9) Treat all political dissidents as traitors.
10) Suspend the rule of law.

Criticizing the government is not a right but a duty in a functioning democracy.
We have now soon EU elections and I don't know who to vote fore.
The French, the Dutch and the Irish voted against the European constitution but we get it anyway.
I think we have oligarchy here in Europe. We have many political parties in Finland but most of the time they agree with each other.
It's almost like the one party system in the former Soviet Union.
I call it the 1,1 party system. If they disagree, wait until they are in power and they do just the same things.

Naomi Wolf is good looking too.

About "stupid" Americans I had a talk with a friend. Here is what he said:
The education for common Americans sucks.
Most Americans work very hard and have very little time to inform themselves.
The mass media is owned by a few companies. The same companies that also own the military industrial complex.
I was 7 years old when I was hearing adults talking about Socrates and Aristotle.
There are a few Americans from centuries ago who knew how society works and gave already then fair warnings.
Thomas Jefferson was one of them. I lost the link but should have it somewhere.
I got no problems with Ron Paul either. I agree to 95% with him.
Noam Chomsky is a syndicalist anarchist. I was the same when I was young.
Now I call it radical democracy or direct democracy.
Peter McWilliams one other favorite of my and his book about consensual crimes. " It ain't nobodies business if you do".

The same fascist Americans that want to get rid of the constitution and the bill of rights. I defend an America as the founding fathers saw it. Not as Hitler saw the world but fascists thing very much like the Nazis but it's an ugly word so the wrap the flag around them self while destroying everything the flag once stood for.
