The old Taliban were partners fighting the former Soviet Union. Now they are partners in the heroin trade.
So they kill sometimes a few American soldiers and American soldiers kill a few Taliban and a few pregnant women but think about how much money is being made there. If the Taliban wouldn't kill sometimes a few people there would not be needed a strong American force. Less money to be made by the war industry.
The Taliban profits from the occupation too. It's a win win situation for both. Even the media makes money out of it.
