'Overview of America'

I think we can all agree that most Americans have not a clue, nor do they give much thought or interest into politics and the history of that 'once meaningful' little document we know as the Constitution of the Unites States of America. In today's modern society people are much too distracted by ridiculous media glamor and their daily lifelong struggle to keep a roof over their head, food on the table, the bills paid, and all at the same time paying an annually increasing amount of (unconstitutional) tax's to keep the BIG GOV's pockets overflowing and our expanding aggressive Military Empire afloat.

My friends, I believe we are far past the point of no return. The only 'hope' and 'change' that would be considered actual real hope and change for America would be the unfortunate result of an all American old school revolution....massive bloodshed. I hate to say it and I'd rather it not have to come to such a malevolent conclusion, but I suspect many of you may share the same opinion, in theory anyways.

Some of you may or may not have already seen this video, but it's a great little 29min. look into the 'Overview of America'... it also touch's on and illustrates the different forms of governments and why a Republic form of government is the obvious best choice. A quick little flick to show to those individuals with a lack of understanding and a short attention span.

That's gotta be the dumbest thing you've ever said to me dude.....what, because I watch a lot of C-SPAN and use the internet as an alternative media source and the fact that I don't believe everything they spew over the mainstream corporate media means I'm clueless of what's going on?! OK and I'm the ignorant one?!

I have a great life inspector, I sleep just fine thanks =).....I live in Germany, the food & beer here is fabulous, I have an awesome hot wife, a nice little apartment in the city which I completely remodeled myself, a cool dog, all my American friends here are soldiers, I live right above an American bar, festivals and events and beer gardens everywhere this time of year...all within walking distance, we go hiking and camping all the time, once a year we drive up to the North Sea and hang out in Amsterdam, we're also making plans to make a little road trip to Spain, I got a buddy with climbing gear and we go rock climbing a few times a year, I eat as healthy as I can (considering I'm in Germany and the brats here are delicious), and I exercise on a regular basis...and that's on top of all the great sex I have with the wife =)

So you see inspector, my life in itself is my therapy and medication.... perhaps YOU are the one who needs that kind of therapy and medication.... do you get out of town and away from the TV often?....do you have a wife or g/f?... if not maybe that's whatcha need bro... you probably just need to get laid...trust me it's great for your health and well being..... get some mountain fresh air and get yourself some pussy bro. You can thank me later. =)

Comment by Mitsos on July 5, 2009 at 7:50am: The videos maker understood democracy to mean mob rules. Which could lead to lynchings. I make a distinction between representative democracy and direct democracy. Mob rule can be avoided by including "due process".
Republic sounds good but everything can be corrupted in due time. Ron Paul is the closest I know to the original constitution and limited government ideal. " The role of government is to stop us from killing each other " as the main part and people to run their life's as they see fit so long they respect the god given rights of others. Government should keep out of peoples affairs as much as possible.
The US government has become so big that it is involved in everybodies life. Huge corporations have corrupted the government and there is no free competition anymore nor are the interests of American people represented by the American government because government officials receive huge kickbacks from big corporations to represent the interests of those corporations and NOT of the people. Thereby a oligarchy is created within a republic system. People are drunk with nationalism and fake patriotism and don't see that they are being used and abused. When a system gets to corrupt it gets also less efficient in meeting peoples needs and eventually will crash. The press has sold out to big money or is owned by big money and therefore represent the interests of big money. People are overworked and brain washed by the corporate owned media.
I am labeled anti-American for posting videos made by Americans who for the most part stick to the moral principles of the founding fathers. The "true" Americans of our days are not so far away from people I consider fascists.
