Americans are brain dead. It is the only thing that explains the events of the past week

We are laughing ourselves to death. We have become so enamored with being entertained that we have lost the ability to think. When was the last time you actually took the time to meditate? I don’t mean in some Eastern Mystical sense, but in a turn-off the-TVand radio, take out your earplugs, get away from all the distractions, what-the-hell-is-going-on sense?

Approaching three-score years on this earth I don’t think I have ever witnessed such meaningless bilge being sold as news. But then again, they have become the same, those two…news and entertainment I am talking about…all part of the national-suicide by lethal injection that is being administered by the government/media complex in this formerly great Republic.

As I have been trying to warn for the past decade or so we have turned over our children to a public fool system that teaches our kids WHAT to think rather than HOW to think. In a more innocent time we called it “indoctrination,” or another popular term from the days when we feared communism “propaganda.” Those terms did not connote good images, but rather pictures of little “Hitler Youth” marching lockstep behind their all-powerful leader. You gotta watch this 4 minute video watch it until the end!

Sometimes I wonder why I even waste my time trying to help open your eyes. No matter how much you might agree with me most of you still turn your kids over to the government to be “indoctri-cated” in global warming, going green, and the toleration of every form of perversion in your “local” school. But of course, the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, now does it?

I wonder, is the furniture in your living room all situated in such a way that every chair has a clear view of the “entertainment” center where the masters of deception pump propaganda designed to “medicate” your ability to reason? Are you still foolish enough to think that anything that comes into your home is “fair and balanced?” Or are your little arrows that you send off to Socialism 101 every morning…being convinced that some talking head on that one-eyed monster is “looking out for you”? (I’ll look out for myself, thank you very kindly.)

But at least the kids have an excuse. They trusted their Mommy and Daddy. They knew that Mommy and Daddy would never send them to a place that taught them things that were not true. “My Mom and Dad would never let anyone poison my soul. They love me too much. Look at all of the things hey have bought for me. They went to the same schools as me and everything turned out fine with them.”

Or did they?

Are these the folks who sit around and slurp up everything that is regurgitated on Faux News? Are these the same folks who heard Rush admit that he had been carrying water for the Republicans yet still trust what he says today? Can they tap their foot and sing their favorite Michael Jackson song as Larry King pontificates on the “tragic loss” of a “great” American icon?

Michael Jackson was pathetic, he wasn’t great. In another time he would have been written off as the freak that he was. He was the only man who ever lived that was born a handsome black boy and died an emaciated white man. His children are white because they are not his children. The “King of Pedophilia” was a homosexual with a perverted desire for Billy Joe rather than Billie Jean. He mutilated his body with over a dozen plastic surgeries, ate pills more regularly than food, had a body that resembled a pin-cushion from drug injections, and at his death owed others more than $500 MILLION.

Yet, our anesthesia-logical media stopped the presses for round-the clock coverage of this “great” man’s self-induced passing. While our brave young men are dying in defense of this nation our Congress pauses for a “moment of silence” for the man who at his death more resembled the Scarecrow.

Black America is celebrating his life. What message are they sending to young black Americans---led by the “Reverends” Al and Jesse? What is it about Michael Jackson that we want our children to emulate? His moonwalk, his physical disfigurement, his penchant for young boys, or his Bernie Madoff lifestyle charged to the account of others?

No my friends, none of that matters. It is his FAME that we covet. In today’s media-crazed culture the greatest quality that one can have is recognize-ability. It matters not what is inside, but only that the cover is familiar. Susan Boyle’s voice was remarkable only because her appearance wasn’t. Jackass features outrageous, brainless acts intended to bring fame. American Idol lends notoriety, not for who one is, but for what one can do. Extreme Makeover was a spin-off of Wacko-Jacko’s life.

But you have been hooked as well. All of us have. Our sense of right and wrong has been destroyed by over-the-counter amusement. We have all swallowed the Kool-Aid.

While the media focused on the death of a moonwalking, pedophilic, homosexual, crotch-grabbing, pervert, the implosion of the world played backup singer to the real “Thriller” of the times in which we live.

While the government media complex focused your attention on Jackson, Billy Mays, and Farah Fawcett

•The House passed the largest tax increase in American history.
• Thousands of Iranian students were killed in the streets.
• Violence exploded on the streets of Honduras.
• North Korea transmitted nuclear materials around the world.
• California runs out of money.
• China purchases more of America.
• America slinks quietly into Socialism.

Somehow all of the attention on Michael Jackson does not seem so amusing to me. How many of you would be happy if your child turned out like Mike?

Let me ask you a few questions? Who decided the Michael Jackson story was such big news? Who determines which stories make it into your living room? What stories are they not telling you about? Why? When a pathetic man like Michael Jackson is hailed as “great” what message are we sending to our children?

I remember a conversation I had with a wise old farmer one day as I visited with him at church. “What gift do you most wish you could give to your son?” I asked him.

His deep brown eyes burned into me as he pursed his lips, “Honesty” he declared. “You don’t bury honesty. It makes the minister’s job easier at the wake.”
