State of Teh Drama

I hope every one has had the opportunity to view the Ning slideshow on the homepage, stating their intentions reguarding the future of sites on the Ning platform.

I (We) have no intention on letting DT fall by the wasteside. It's not the video utopia of the internet, but, dammit, it's ours.

If you have seen the slideshow, you're already aware of that there will be a 30 day trial period to test the new options that they are offering. In all honesty, I haven't seen ANYTHING appealing (to me) that's making me cream mah jeans, OTHER than the obscure fact that displaced vloggers and videomakers will find and join DT..........which won't make that much of a difference if they're not active.

Moving locations to other webspace is always an option but, I feel like we've all kinda settled in here. I'm not sure exactly what to expect from Ning's new adjustments, but we'll put forth an honest attempt to flow with the changes granted before us.

Ning's community boards have shut down....almost to a standstill with the most popular posts being, "Where am I to go?" and "What Now?" type of boards. In the year or so that I've watched these boards, THESE have been the most active....with (last time I checked) 571 comments. Other boards, CSS codes, marketing, publications....have, for the most part, been abandoned:

For the moment, we're all waiting and anticipating the oncoming changes to see what we will have to deal with, as a whole.....Site, members and content.

Promises will not be made, nor, anything written in stone or blood until a firm grasp is applied to what is going to transpire.

This isn't the end, yet, but we're in it for the long fucking haul!

We appreciate everyone's patience in this matter at hand and we'll see what happens in June/July.
