State of teh Drama: Change is upon us.

Next month, I believe will be the switchover point for Ning. Sites ran on the Ning platforms will have a probationary period to experience the new features and to get the opportunity to choose a package.

The activity in the official NingCreators site has dropped off. The forums have turned into Sparta with some owners expressing their disbelief and disdain at this decision and others shamelessly promoting their own sites to possibly draw traffic and maybe get some new members, with such conversations as : "Come Critique My Site", "A new home for you", etc.

I've checked out an assload of other (shitty) Nings, and I have to say, save VH, we're totally something different. They're (shitty) Nings are genre based: Gardening, Pregnacies, Sewing and such. Stuff I'd USUALLY say, "What a waste of bandwidth.", BUT....they are entitled to have their places online and Ning is going to pull the plug on them, no doubt.

DramaTube isn't going anywhere. I'd like to reassure any and all concerned and active members of that. I will continue NOT to post in the NingCreators forums, but just observe them. I would like to NOT recruit any of the users there since the seem to take themselves very seriously.

We're still awaiting the day that this switchover occurs, so we can see what it is that we have to deal with.
