The story the sheikh told was nice but it was a story.
I was a sailor back in the 70's and visited the brothels of Dzenta ( port town of Saudi Arabai ) and only 30 miles from Mecca the holy city. The price was 30 Rials back then or one days wages for me for a 10-15 minutes bang

Yeah, I think everyone below me pretty much covered most of it.

You see, In my opinion, these wars aren't fought to be won..... they're fought mainly because it's profitable ...in more ways then one. Not only that, but can you imagine what would happen economically if the US military empire called it quits?! How many millions of people unemployed?! How many multi-billion dollar corporations would flop?! If we were to pull out completely, the American people would be begging, BEGGING for socialized EVERYTHING.

If you think about it, we're basically stuck between morality & survival. And while I DO believe there's a way to turn this whole thing around, it would inevitably be a long strenuous drawn out process...and nobody really cares for that sort of inconvenience.... and so, it's business as usual.

As far as this Shiekh dude, he has no idea what he's talking about, and If he really thinks Allah has anything to do with their not being completely wiped out by now, lol, he's just as foolish and ignorant as the typical American who still believes we're over there fighting for "freedom".

Rage, I've actually posted this film here on DT not too long ago, but in case you missed it and haven't already seen it, it's definitely worth a looksy.

I can equate the "because of allah" thing with some jerkoff who just won a football game and thanked jesus. You didn't win because some mythic being willed it, you won because of tactics, in the case of afghanistan (much like what I understood happened in viet nam), basic home field advantage. Besides, a win in afghanistan would fuck with too many corporate masters money, they'd never allow it. Now make way for the new kingpins of the dope trade; pfizer, merck, etc...

Well... I guess I could really go on here for a long time, but I will attempt to be short. First.. on the issue of why "so and so from Afganistan, hasn't been beat.. blah blah" It's because the place hasn't been turned into the worlds largest, self lighting, glass... parking lot. It's exactly the same as Serbia and Kosovo... it doesn't matter who is there or who is fighting.... they ALL have been fighting over the same "mountainous terrain".. against either against a invading enemy.. or various individualized factions OF themselves... as long as there has been a rock to throw or a sling to put it in OVER 2000 years now and longer! . - now.... having said that... the sad thing is... the sheikh here... doesn't realize that nobody has wanted to "completely annihilate" anyone there... so praise to Allah that there actually are some people with restraint... never mind that "the faction" he belongs to destroys every last religious institution or monument of a opposing belief system that they can get to, by horse jeep or camel and gleefully wipe it out in the name of Allah. And of course... I can't let this one go that easily.... the way that they worship their women... through illiteracy... mutilation at puberty... and public humiliation when they get out of line... - Good job with the equality and worship there pal.... - BUT, the whole stupid thing is... I haven't even touched why we shouldn't even fucking be there in the first place. AND Why is it always a religious thing? These idiots, and every other idiot who has done it... has always been doing the slaughter over this god or that since they got the idea it was a cop out and OKAY if it was for a deity. -
WTF... I'm just going to shut up... before Allah wipes me out with a forest fire..., forgive me please.

A book is a book and once you got the meaning the book is just paper but the interesting question is who invaded whose country and who occupies whose country?
But the war in Afghanistan makes sense from the point of view of the military industrial complex.
The difference is only that the same amount of money if it would be spend inside the USA for various projects it would create 25 times more jobs for people and at the same time the infrastructure of the US could be fixed.
As a bonus much less people would hate the USA. More Americans would be alive and those terrorist laws could be crabbed. After all: Osama bin Laden is not wanted by the FBI for 911 and his is from Saudi Arabia not Afghanistan. I don't know why he is against whores? Sluts are bad but whores pay taxes and provide a valuable service.

Wow... yeah there's a whole lot of bullshit in this video that I don't have time to discuss right now... but to tell you the truth... this video itself seems a bit more hilarious then Phantoms "response".

Mc you made perfect sense to me, and thanks for the input. It was hard for me to watch, only due to well my time serving we will leave it at that, but on the other hand i felt some sort of pity. I felt like i may have been one of those guys who stand by and cheer on the school bully who picks on the different kid, hell maybe i may have even pushed him to, you get what im sayin? anyways its always good to talk about these things in my book, and i am honored to have you voice your say!!!!
