The "green" energy wave has hit southwestern Utah in a big way.
On Tuesday, the state's biggest wind-energy electricity-generation facility began commercial operation near Milford.
Located in Millard and Beaver counties, the first phase of the Milford Wind Corridor project features 97 wind turbines and is expected to generate 203.5 megawatts of electricity, making it the largest renewable-energy facility in Utah, according to…

Rescue workers have tried to reach survivors of floods and landslides unleashed by late-season storms, as common graves were being dug around the country to handle the growing death toll that now stands at 152.
"Why did God take you before me," sobbed Catarino Arevalo looking down at the coffin bearing his five-year-old daughter Besy. Two other daughters are still missing after the rains hit, and his wife Ana is recovering from injuries in hospital.

SINGAPORE (AFP) – Low-lying and impoverished Asian coastal cities such as Dhaka, Manila and Jakarta are vulnerable to "brutal" damage from climate change without global action, environmental group WWF warned Thursday.
Energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions must be curtailed in "mega-cities" where global warming will affect everything from national security…

I'm not sure how many of ya'll keep track of what goes on with Vloggerheads these days. Personally, I hardly go to that site anymore. However, I keep hearing about how the site founders on VH wanna implement a "Democracy". Meaning they want their members to play a bigger role in the decision making process of how that website is run. Doesn't sound too bad of an idea on the skin deep surface, but personally I think it's mostly a bunch of bullshit and here's why.
I one guess way to…

It looks like this could be a new record: A Tesla Roadster has squeezed its battery for 313 miles.
The red Roadster competing in Global Green Challenge traveled through the Australian outback from Alice Springs to Coober Pedy and rolled into town with three miles left on the battery. Owner Simon Hackett and co-driver Emilis Prelgauskas covered 501 kilometers — 313 miles — on one charge.
And that, Tesla Motors says, appears to…

PHILADELPHIA (Reuters) – Nine-year-old Corey Haas can ride his bike alone now, thanks to an experimental gene therapy that has boosted his fading vision with a single treatment.
The gene therapy helped improve worsening eyesight caused by a rare inherited disease called Leber congenital amaurosis, or LCA, which makes most patients blind by age 40.
Twelve treated patients, including… Continue

LONDON -- The Arctic ice cap will vanish completely in summer months within 20-30 years, polar researchers said Thursday, sounding the alarm two months before a critical climate change summit in Copenhagen.
It is likely to be largely ice-free during the warmer months within a decade, according to findings from an arctic expedition led by British adventurer Pen Hadow.
Veteran polar explorer Hadow and two other Britons went out…

Dear Yourpersonalstalker,
Like I said at the bottom of my last post. No one is forcing you to stay on DramaTube if you don't like it here. To my knowledge you've haven't hardly done a thing since signing up. So I don't understand what makes you think you can make the accurate judgement of us being "fail".
Believe it or not there is a small following of very dedicated users who have worked hard and helping at making this place grow and continue to grow. People such as…

I think a blog about this was posted long ago. However that was back when the site had far fewer members and hardly anyone signed up for twitter so i'll say it again.
DramaTube has its own account at twitter. In fact we've reposted some of your blogs, pictures, and videos there to help the rest of the web check out your stuff. Let us know if you have twitter and we'll follow you there.…

The
DMCA doesn't permit you to copyright your own face. The guy in the video thought that he could DMCA people for this and well he got a rude awakening. The legal system is like fire, you start playing around with it and sooner or later your ass is gonna get burned. Think twice before abusing the DMCA or you could find yourself having to swallow your pride and make an apology video in order to avoid jail time....…

U.S. must take lead in renewable energy
Woodrow Clark,Grant Cooke
Sunday, September 27, 2009
America must reduce its dependence on fossil fuels, reverse the pace of environmental degradation and embrace the reality of renewable energy generation on smart grids.
We must grab the lead of the "Third Industrial Revolution," as Jeremy Rifkin called it, to create sustainable, agile communities that are energy independent and carbon…

response to Joanna's earlier blog post.
Ok here's my take on it. Could it ever become more "mainstream"? Yea sure anything is possible i guess.
If it were to gain more publicity I dont think it will change the website in itself. That is unless the ppl managing this place were to suddenly have their motives changed. Despite some of the pessimistic jackasses who always say this place is "dying", actually DT has been growing steadily. During the site's steady growth I…

I personally have been waiting for this moment for a LONG time. Yesterday evening we beat Vloggerheads in the Alexa ratings. We not only just beat them but we
SOARED past them by about 7000 points!! At the time of writing this, DramaTube is currently ranked at 186,876 while VH is 193,000 something. This is a pretty big feat because Vloggerheads has always had more resources at their disposal then DT has. It's kinda like the Ma n' Pa grocery store kicking the local Walmart's…

How we lost the solar industry
By Thomas L. Friedman
THE NEW YORK TIMES

Applied Materials is one of the most important U.S. companies you've probably never heard of. It makes the machines that make the microchips that go inside your computer. The chip business, though, is volatile, so in 2004 Mike Splinter, Applied Materials' CEO, decided to add a new business line to take advantage of the company's nanotechnology…
